Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 25, 2026

Seeds of Hope ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy describes the information we collect, how we use it, the parties to whom we disclose it, how we disclose it, and the security practices we use to safeguard your information.

1. Information We Collect

Donations. When you make a donation, we collect your first name, last name, email address, and billing address (street, city, state, postal code). For recurring donations we also store information needed to manage your subscription. We do not collect, store, or have access to your full credit or debit card number. Payment card details are entered directly with our payment processor (Stripe) and are never transmitted to or stored on our servers.

Contact form. When you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address, subject, and message content.

Automatically collected data. When you visit our website, we may collect your IP address, browser type, device information, and pages visited. We may use cookies or similar technologies to support site functionality and security (for example, to help prevent spam on our contact form).

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To process donations and send you donation receipts and related communications
  • To manage recurring donations and subscription changes or cancellations
  • To respond to your contact form submissions and other inquiries
  • To improve our website and services
  • To comply with legal obligations and protect our rights

3. Parties to Whom We Disclose Information

We may share your information with the following types of parties:

  • Stripe. Our payment processor. Stripe receives the information necessary to process your donation (including name, email, and billing address). Your card details are handled entirely by Stripe and are subject to Stripe's privacy policy.
  • Email service providers. We use a third-party provider (e.g., SendGrid) to send transactional emails such as donation receipts and subscription notifications. These providers process your email address and message content only to deliver emails on our behalf.
  • Error and performance monitoring. We may use a service (e.g., Sentry) to capture technical errors and performance data. This may include IP address or other identifiers needed to diagnose issues; we do not send payment card data to these services.
  • Hosting and infrastructure. Our website and data are hosted by third-party providers that process data on our instructions to run the service.
  • Legal and safety. We may disclose information when required by law, or when necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.

4. Method of Disclosure

We disclose information to the parties above only as needed for the purposes described in this policy. Disclosures are made over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) or through secure APIs. We do not sell your personal information.

5. Security Practices

We take reasonable steps to safeguard your information:

  • Encryption in transit. All data between your browser and our servers is transmitted over SSL/TLS (HTTPS).
  • No storage of card data. We never receive or store your full payment card number. Card data is handled exclusively by Stripe, which is PCI DSS compliant.
  • Access controls. Donor and contact data are stored in secure systems with access limited to authorized personnel who need it to perform their duties.
  • Secure infrastructure. Our applications and databases are hosted in controlled environments with security measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the data.

While we strive to protect your information, no method of transmission or storage over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but we work to maintain practices consistent with industry standards.

6. Data Retention

We retain donation and contact information for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes in this policy, to comply with legal and tax obligations, and to resolve disputes. You may contact us to ask about the data we hold about you or to request deletion where applicable.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights or ask questions about your data, please contact us using the information below.

8. Changes to This Policy
